Why I am starting this blog:

March 8, 2018

“You what?” My daughter’s Neurologist looked at me blinking yesterday as I handed her the proof of my book Circe Syndrome I just published.

She was staring down at her notes and talking to me and asking if Hannah had had any seizures where she had paused and went through all that had happened since I saw her. “You have seen her Neuro-Surgeon, Orthopedist, Rehabilitation Specialist, a Lympodemia Specialist and she had surgery last month.”

I start going through what has happened with all the doctors and then the results of the surgery it’s side affects on Hannah and the obstacles we are still jumping through to get her a new wheelchair. Thinking in my head, “Yeah, your right it is a lot. It is always a lot.”

She also knows I just finished a divorce with my husband for 24 years and still in the stages of disentangling me from him financially.

I just published a book, the thing is it has taking me 14 years to do it. I started writing it when Hannah was newborn and dependent on a ventilator to live. I would be trapped in a room for days and months. With what was happening with her or our son or all my responsibilities as a mother and wife I would not be able to make it a priority.

It kept me sane though. I could at least travel in my mind when trapped.

With that said I think this is going to be my theme for my blog about writing.

How to Persevere. How I do it!
